Thompson & Knight adds Trostle as partner in bankruptcy, restructuring

Chicago, Oct. 2 – Thompson & Knight LLP said it hired Patrick J. Trostle as a partner in the bankruptcy and restructuring practice group in New York.

Trostle focuses his practice on complex restructuring and Chapter 11 reorganizations, including litigation related to troubled or insolvent businesses, according to a press release.

He has extensive experience in cross-border restructurings and in the evaluation and acquisition of distressed debt, assets and businesses.

Trostle received a J.D. from Vermont Law School in 1992 and a BA with highest honors from Trinity College in 1989. He also attended the University of Oxford, and he served as a law clerk for the U.S. Bankruptcy Court in the Southern District of New York.

Before joining Thompson & Knight, he was a partner at a law firm in New York and served as chair of its New York restructuring and bankruptcy practice.
