Tenet Healthcare files automatic shelf for preferreds, debt and stock

Knoxville, Tenn., July 17 - Tenet Healthcare Corp. filed an automatic shelf registration in an S-3ASR with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

The registration covers debt securities, common stock, preferred stock, warrants, purchase contracts and units.

The securities may be structured as convertibles.

The company will describe in a supplement how it plans to use the proceeds.

Dallas-based Tenet Healthcare owns and operates acute-care hospitals and provides related health care services.
