Brandes Investment decreases stake to 9.99% in Tenet Healthcare

Philadelphia, Nov. 7 - Brandes Investment Partners, LP decreased its investment to 9.99% in Tenet Healthcare Corp. as of Oct. 31, according to an SC 13G/A filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

That represents a passive stake of 47,650,281 shares.

Those holdings are down from the passive stake of 14.32%, or 67,892,338 shares, that Brandes reported on Dec. 31, 2007, according to a SC 13G/A filing.

According to other previous SC 13G/A filings, Brandes reported a 15.27% stake, or 72,213,496 shares on July 31, 2007. It reported a 13.3% stake, or 62,698,891 shares on Dec. 31, 2006; a stake of 14.1%, or 66,255,937 shares on Dec. 31, 2005; and a stake of 13.1%, or 61,175,243 shares on Dec. 31, 2004. Brandes reported a 10.7% stake, or 49,752,875 shares on March 31, 2004, according to a SC 13G filing.

Tenet Healthcare is a Dallas-based owner and operator of acute care hospitals and related health-care services.
