Massachusetts HEFA calls UMass, Caritas Christi, South Shore bonds

Minneapolis, June 4 - The Massachusetts Health and Educational Facilities Authority called portions of its bonds, according to three redemption notices.

The following bonds will be redeemed on July 1.

• $1 million of series 1998 B UMass Memorial revenue bond auction-rate certificates due July 1, 2023;

• $53,815,000 of series B Caritas Christi Obligated Group issue revenue bonds due July 1, 2016 and 2022; and

• $3.82 million of South Shore Hospital variable-rate demand revenue bonds G (2008) due July 1, 2032.

U.S. Bank NA is the agent.

The Boston-based authority provides financing to Massachusetts' nonprofit organizations to expand services, update facilities and employ citizens throughout the Commonwealth.

UMass Memorial is a health care system based in Worcester, Mass.

Caritas Christi is a health care system in eastern Massachusetts.

South Shore Hospital is in South Weymouth, Mass.
