Metropolitan Water District of Southern California calls 2001A, 2008A-1, 2008A-2 revenue bonds

Madison, Wis., May 27 - The Metropolitan Water District of Southern California said it will redeem its outstanding water revenue refunding bonds, 2001 series A, in full and 2008 series A-1 and 2008 series A-2 in part.

The 2001A bonds will be redeemed on July 1, and the called portions of the two 2008 series bonds will be redeemed on June 30.

To be redeemed at par plus accrued interest to the redemption date are the following bonds:

• $3.275 million of 2001A bonds due July 1, 2012;

• $2.805 million of 2001A bonds due July 1, 2013;

• $1.225 million of 2001A bonds due July 1, 2014;

• $1.675 million of 2001A bonds due July 1, 2015;

• $51.9 million of $249.89 million of outstanding 2008A-1 bonds; and

• $45.015 million of $249.235 million of outstanding 2008A-2 bonds.

To be redeemed at 101 plus accrued interest to the redemption date are the following 2001A bonds:

• $24.42 million of bonds due July 1, 2012;

• $26.265 million of bonds due July 1, 2013;

• $5.21 million of bonds due July 1, 2014; and

• $8.075 million of bonds due July 1, 2015.

Metropolitan Water District is comprised of 26 cities and water districts and provides drinking water to residents of Los Angeles, Orange, San Diego, Riverside, San Bernardino and Ventura counties in southern California.
