South Carolina defeases $50.49 million state school facilities bonds

Madison, Wis., March 7 - The State of South Carolina said it defeased $50.485 million of its $150 million of general obligation state school facilities bonds, series 2002A.

The refunded bonds will be redeemed on Jan. 1, 2012.

Affected are the following bonds:

• $11.76 million of R-12 bonds due Jan. 1, 2014;

• $12.315 million of R-13 bonds due Jan. 1, 2015;

• $12.895 million of R-14 bonds due Jan. 1, 2016; and

• $13.515 million of R-15 bonds due Jan. 1, 2017.
