Chicago to redeem portions of 2003B general obligation bonds Jan. 3

Madison, Wis., Nov. 23 - City of Chicago will redeem portions of its outstanding series 2003B-1, 2003B-2 and 2003B-3 general obligation variable-rate demand bonds on Jan. 3, according to notices from Amalgamated Bank of Chicago.

The affected bonds will be redeemed at par plus accrued interest to the redemption date. They include the following:

• $1.465 million of $100.985 million of 2003B-1 bonds due Jan. 1, 2034;

• $730,000 of $50.49 million of 2003B-2 bonds due Jan. 1, 2034; and

• $730,000 of $50.49 million of 2003B-3 bonds due Jan. 1, 2034.
