Banco Santander Brasil calls all $500 million 8.7% perpetual junior subordinated securities

Madison, Wis., Aug. 17 - Banco Santander (Brasil) SA said it will redeem all $500 million of its outstanding 8.7% perpetual non-cumulative junior subordinated securities on Sept. 20.

The securities, which were issued in 2005, will be redeemed at par.

The Bank of New York Trust Co. (Cayman) Ltd. is the trustee.
