California Water Resources defeases $430 million power supply bonds

Milwaukee, May 12 - The State of California Department of Water Resources defeased $429.985 million of its power supply revenue bonds series 2002A on Wednesday, according to a notice.

Defeased were $90.025 million of 6% bonds due May 1, 2014; $14.96 million of 5.25% bonds due May 1, 2015; and $325 million of 5.5% bonds due May 1, 2015.

The defeased bonds will be redeemed on May 1, 2012 at 101 plus accrued interest.

The Treasurer of the State of California and U.S. Bank NA are the trustees.
