Banco do Brasil issues call to redeem $500 million 7.95% junior notes

San Diego, Dec. 20 - Banco do Brasil SA (Grand Cayman branch) announced that it plans the redemption of $500 million 7.95% perpetual noncumulative junior subordinated securities on Jan. 23, according to a press release.

The redemption price of par plus accrued interest of $19.875 per $1,000 principal will be paid by the trustee, Bank of New York Mellon, on Jan. 24.

Banco do Brasil is a Brazilian financial institution with headquarters in Brasilia.
