Washington REIT buys back $40.8 million 3.875% convertibles at 91

New York, July 23 - Washington Real Estate Investment Trust repurchased $40.8 million of its 3.875% convertible notes at an average discounted price of 91 during the quarter ended June 30.

The company said it paid about $37 million for the notes.

With the repurchases, the REIT said it reported a gain of $1.2 million in the second quarter.

Washington is a Rockville, Md.-based REIT that owns, operates and develops properties in the Washington and Baltimore region.
