Telecom Argentina buys back €12.50 million euro notes, €6 million unrestricted euro notes

Chicago, May 12 - Telecom Argentina SA purchased €12.50 million nominal amount of series A regulation S euro notes due 2014 and €6 million nominal amount of listed series A unrestricted euro notes due 2014, according to a 6-K filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

The company said it issued €493.02 million of the series A euro notes on Aug. 31, 2005. As of April 15, there was €156.02 million principal amount of the notes outstanding. Since then, the company has purchased €18.50 million nominal amount - equivalent to €6.97 million principal amount - of the series A euro notes. As a result, the outstanding principal amount is €149.05 million.

Buenos Aires-based Telecom Argentina is the parent company of a telecommunications group in Argentina.
