Alcatel-Lucent buys back $99 million Lucent 7.75% convertibles due 2017 at discount

Knoxville, Tenn., May 5 - Alcatel-Lucent repurchased, at a substantial discount, $99 million of its Lucent 7.75% convertible bonds due March 2017, according to a 6-K filed Tuesday with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

The company also paid off its 4.375% bonds due February 2009 for €777 million.

Paris-based Alcatel-Lucent provides solutions to deliver voice, data and video communication services to end-users.
