LaBranche buys back $10.6 million 11% notes

Knoxville, Tenn., March 16 - LaBranche & Co Inc. purchased $10.6 million of its 11% senior notes due May 2012 below par in the fourth quarter, according to a 10-K filed Monday with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

As of Dec. 31, the company had $199.3 million of the notes outstanding.

New York-based LaBranche, through its subsidiaries, operates as a registered broker-dealer and specializes in exchange-listed securities.
