Thornburg issues shares in exchange for some 8% notes, notes due 2015, floaters

New York, Feb. 4 - Thornburg Mortgage, Inc. issued 21,138,627 common shares in exchange for $8.56 million of its 8% senior notes due 2013, 15,000,840 shares in exchange for $12.5 million of its senior subordinated secured notes due 2015 and 8,016,527 shares in exchange for $4 million of floating-rate junior subordinated notes due January 2036, according to an 8-K filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

The shares were issued on Monday and Tuesday.

Thornburg is a Santa Fe, N.M., lender specializing in jumbo mortgages.
