Mueller buys back $700,000 more 6% debentures in second quarter

New York, July 22 - Mueller Industries, Inc. repurchased $700,000 of additional 6% subordinated debentures during the second quarter of 2008 for a total of $500,000, according to a 10-Q filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission.
On April 25, the company said it paid a total of $23 million for $25.5 million of the debentures.
Mueller said that total repurchases during the first half of the year have resulted in a net gain of about $2.5 million.
Mueller is a Memphis, Tenn.-based manufacturer and seller of copper, brass, plastic and aluminum products.
