Carolinas HealthCare to redeem $307.4 million refunding revenue bonds

Springdale, Ark., May 29 - The Carolinas HealthCare System, legally known as the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Hospital Authority, intends to redeem $307.395 million variable- and auction-rate bonds in June, according to a preliminary official statement released Thursday.

The $70.02 million series 1996 variable-rate bonds will be redeemed on June 26.

The $66.175 million series 2003B, $100 million series 2005E and $71.2 million series 2007I auction-rate bonds will be redeemed on June 30.

The bonds will be redeemed with proceeds from the June 5 sale of the series 2008A bonds.
