Canadian Tire calls in full C$200 million of 5.65% series D notes

Norfolk, Va., Mary 27 - Canadian Tire Corp., Ltd. exercised its right to redeem all C$200 million of its 5.65% series D medium-term notes due June 1, 2016, according to a news release.

The notes will be redeemed at C$1,074.840 per C$1,000 principal amount plus accrued interest of C$3.715 per C$1,000 principal amount on June 25.

The total redemption price is C$1,078.555 per C$1,000 principal amount.

Based in Toronto, Canadian Tire operates more than 1,200 general merchandise and apparel retail stores and gas bars.
