Chicago, April 1 - Empresa Distribuidora y Comercializadora Norte SA (Edenor) said it bought back $133,611,000 principal amount of notes, according to an 8-K filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

The notes were purchased at average market prices of 52.7% of par due to the sale of Aeseba and bonds held by the company and repurchased at market prices out of proceeds of the sale of Emdersa group's subsidiaries.

The Bank of New York is the trustee, co-registrar and paying agent. Banco Rio de la Plata SA is the registrar, Argentine transfer and paying agent and trustee's representative in Argentina.

Edenor is a Buenos Aires-based electricity producer.
