Argentina's TGS offers new 9 5/8% notes in exchange for 7 7/8% notes

Chicago, Jan. 13 - Transportadora de Gas del Sur SA said it began an offer to exchange its 7 7/8% notes due 2017 for newly issued 9 5/8% notes due 2020.

The exchange offer will end at 11:59 p.m. ET on Feb. 7.

The total exchange value will be par for each $1,000 principal amount of notes tendered by 5 p.m. ET on Jan. 24, the early participation date.

The total exchange value includes an early premium of $30 per $1,000 of notes.

Holders who tender their notes after the early deadline will receive the exchange amount of $970 principal amount per $1,000 of notes, or the total amount less the early premium.
