Kazakhstan's KazMunayGas to buy back KZT 8 billion of bonds

Madison, Wis., Jan. 6 - National Co. KazMunayGas JSC said it plans to repurchase a portion of its indexed coupon bonds.

The repurchase date is Jan. 19, but because it falls on a Sunday the buyback will be carried out on Jan. 17.

The company plans to buy back KZT 8 billion of bonds.

This is the fourth buyback of the bonds, according to a Kazakhstan Stock Exchange announcement.

The company issued KZT 120 billion of the bonds in October 2009 has been repurchasing the bonds since July 19, 2012. There is currently KZT 96 billion of the bonds outstanding.

The oil and gas company is based in Astana, Kazakhstan.
