Scotiabank Capital Trust calls all series 2003-1 trust securities

New York, May 24 - Bank of Nova Scotia announced that Scotiabank Capital Trust will redeem all of its Scotiabank trust securities series 2003-1 (Scotia BaTS II) on June 30.

The trust will pay par of C$1,000 plus accrued distributions to the redemption date.

The redemption will be financed out of the Toronto-based bank's general funds.
