Astoria Financial calls all $125 million of 9.75% capital securities

Minneapolis, April 10 - Astoria Financial Corp. called all $125 million of its series A and series B 9.75% capital securities issued by Astoria Capital Trust I, according to a filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

The securities will be redeemed at 103.413 plus accumulated dividends on May 10.

The capital securities will be redeemed as a result of the concurrent prepayment in whole by the company of its 9.75% junior subordinated deferrable interest debentures due Nov. 1, 2029, which are currently held by the trust.

Wilmington Trust Co. is the property trustee and debenture trustee.

Astoria Financial is the Lake Success, N.Y., holding company for Astoria Federal Savings and Loan Association.
