Moody’s rates Temasek notes Aaa

Moody's Investors Service said it assigned an Aaa rating to the proposed offering of a 10-year benchmark dollar-denominated senior notes to be issued by Temasek Financial (I) Ltd., a wholly owned financing subsidiary of Temasek Holdings (Pte.) Ltd. (Aaa stable).

The notes are issued under the $20 billion guaranteed global medium-term note program, rated provisional Aaa, and are irrevocably and unconditionally guaranteed by Temasek.

The outlook is stable.

'Temasek's Aaa rating reflects its strong fundamental credit profile as an investment company. This strength is supported by its steady and recurring dividend income as well as its large and increasingly diverse investment portfolio,” Vikas Halan, Moody's senior vice president, said in a news release.

“Furthermore, Temasek's largest investee companies and major dividend contributors have strong investment grade credit profiles.”
