Telus gives details on redemption of 5.05% series CH notes due 2020

Chicago, May 31 – Telus Corp. provided more details on its intention to redeem the company’s 5.05% series CH notes due July 23, 2020.

According to a news release, notice has been given that C$650 million of the C$1 billion outstanding notes can be redeemed on July 23.

The notes will be selected for redemption on a pro rata basis.

The redemption price will be calculated in accordance with the applicable indenture.

As previously reported, the company plans to fund the redemption from an issue of new notes.

The Vancouver, B.C.-based telecommunications company priced $500 million of new 30-year notes on May 22.
