S&P affirms America Movil

S&P said it affirmed the A- global scale and mxAAA/mxA-1+ national scale and issue-level ratings on America Movil, SAB de CV.

The agency also affirmed the corporate credit and issue-level ratings on America Movil’s subsidiaries Telefonos de Mexico SA de CV (global scale A-/stable/--; national scale mxAAA/stable/mxA-1+) and Telmex Internacional SAB de CV (mxAAA/stable/mxA-1+).

S&P also affirmed the issue-level ratings on America Movil BV.

The outlook is stable.

The agency said that following a two-year period of intense competition and difficult economic conditions in its key markets, America Movil’s operating and financial performance has started to recover in line with S&P’s expectations, which supports the current rating.
