S&P downgrades Telenor

S&P said it downgraded Telenor ASA’s long-term and issue ratings to A- from A, citing the debt-financed acquisition of a 54% stake in and a tender for the remaining shares of DNA plc for €1.5 billion as well as weaker-than-expected results in Asia.

The agency removed all of Telenor’s ratings from CreditWatch with negative implications.

The outlook is stable.
