Teléfonos de México shareholder Helú boosts ownership interest

Charlotte, N.C., Aug. 24 - Carlos Slim Helú beneficially owns 92,690,376 A shares of Teléfonos de México, SAB de CV and 9,541,704,302 of the company's L shares following a series of share purchases between June 4 and Aug. 11.

The number of shares owned includes shares held in the form of American Depositary Shares and represents 23.1% of the company's A shares and 66.4% of Teléfonos de México's series L shares, according to a schedule 13D/A filed on Monday with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

Teléfonos de México is a telecommunications services company based in Mexico City.
