Telefonica de Argentina buys back $5 million 9 1/8% notes

Pittsburgh, Nov. 4 - Telefonica de Argentina SA bought back $5 million of its 9 1/8% notes due 2010, according to a company news release.

The repurchased notes, which were part of a $212.51 million issuance, will be cancelled.

Telefonica de Argentina is a Buenos Aires telecommunications company.
