S&P affirms Telefonica Chile

Standard & Poor's said it affirmed its BBB+ ratings, including the corporate credit ratings, on Telefonica Chile SA. The outlook remains stable.

"We based our affirmation on the company's maintenance of operating and financial performance in line with our expectations," S&P credit analyst Cecilia Fullone said in a news release.

The BBB+ ratings on Telefonica Chile continue to reflect S&P's assessment of the company's business risk profile as satisfactory and financial risk profile as modest, the agency said. S&P said it views the company's credit quality as intertwined with that of its sister company, Telefonica Moviles Chile SA, because of a high degree of integration between the two companies.
