Telecom Argentina to make payment on series A notes using excess cash

New York, Oct. 7 - Telecom Argentina SA announced plans to make a payment on its series A notes due 2014 on Oct. 15 or soon after that date.

Affected notes include the series A registered dollar notes due 2014, series A registered euro notes due 2014, series A Regulation S dollar notes due 2014, series A Regulation S euro notes due 2014 and unlisted series A notes due 2014.

This payment, partially funded using excess cash, will result in the payment of 51.25% of the principal amortization scheduled to be paid on April 15, 2012.

Telecom Argentina added that the payment of the principal amortization scheduled for Oct. 15, 2014 will be paid entirely as a voluntary prepayment, and after the payments, all series A notes will be canceled.

The Bank of New York is the trustee and paying agent.

Telecom Argentina is a telecommunications operator based in Buenos Aires.
