Fitch lowers TCF

Fitch Ratings said it downgraded the long-term issuer default ratings for TCF Financial Corp. and its principal banking subsidiary TCF National Bank to BBB from BBB+.

The outlook remains negative.

Fitch said the rating action is reflective of TCF Financial's continued asset quality deterioration.
