Fitch affirms Slovakia's Tatra Bank

Fitch Ratings said it affirmed Slovakia-based Tatra Banka's support rating at 2.

As Fitch has not undertaken a full review of the bank, it said it has not assigned long-term, short-term or individual ratings.

The support rating reflects the high potential support for the bank from its parent, Austria-based Raiffeisen Group, in case of need, Fitch said.

The bank is the third largest bank in Slovakia with 13.4% of total banking assets. It was the first private bank to be established in the country and is the largest of Raiffeisen Group's Central European subsidiaries. The bank has a nationwide network of 113 branches and employed 3,021 staff at end-2004, Fitch said.
