Chicago, Sept. 11 – Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Co., Ltd. sold $1 billion of 2.7% notes at par in its first issue of unsecured dollar-denominated corporate bonds in 2020, according to a notice.
The notes have a 40-year tenor.
The issue is non-callable until the fifth anniversary of the issue date and then annually thereafter.
Goldman Sachs (Asia) LLC, Taipei Branch and KGI Securities Co. Ltd. are the underwriters.
Proceeds will be used for the purchase and expansion of facilities and equipment.
The semiconductor manufacturer is based in Hsinchu, Taiwan.
