Fitch affirms Taiwan Finance

Fitch Ratings said it affirmed the ratings of Taiwan Finance Corp. at long-term foreign currency BBB-, national long-term A(twn), short-term foreign currency F3, national short-term F1(twn), individual D and support 2 following an annual review of the company.

The outlook is stable.

The long- and short-term ratings reflect the company's strong support from its major financial institutional shareholders, the agency said.

Fitch also said the individual rating reflects the company's small size and limited business scope as well as the challenging interest rate environment, where short-term rates are rising and long-term rates are soft.
