Taiwan's Taipei Fubon Bank plans NT$15 billion of debentures in 2009

Tacoma, Wash., Dec. 24 - Taipei Fubon Bank plans to issue NT$15 billion of financial debentures in 2009, according to a statement released by Fubon Financial Holding Co.

The debentures will be issued at par and will be denominated in New Taiwan dollars or a foreign currency.

The tenor of the debentures will be two to 10 years.

The bank's board of directors approved the offering on Wednesday.

Proceeds will be used to meet mid-term or long-term funding needs or to raise the Bank for International Settlement capital adequacy ratio.

The issuer is a bank based in Taipei, Taiwan.
