S&P gives Synovus notes BBB

S&P said it gave a BBB rating to Synovus Bank's issuance of senior unsecured notes due 2028.

Synovus Bank’s BBB issuer rating is unchanged, the agency said.

The bank intends to use the proceeds for general corporate purposes, which may include supporting asset growth and reducing other borrowings.

The outlook is stable.
