Symantec files stock, debt shelf

By Angela McDaniels

Seattle, Dec. 11 - Symantec Corp. registered to resell an undisclosed amount of securities in an S-3ASR filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission on Monday.

Covered by the shelf are shares of common stock, shares of preferred stock, debt securities and warrants. The debt securities may be convertible.

The securities will be sold from time to time by selling debtholders, so the company will receive no proceeds.

Symantec provides storage software and secure content management products and is based in Cupertino, Calif.
