Svensk issues RMB 500 million three-year bonds for financing in China

By Susanna Moon

Chicago, May 29 - Svensk Exportkredit AB is issuing RMB 500 million of three-years bonds to provide local-currency financing for Swedish companies operating in China.

The bank's first such issue was in January, according to a press release.

The lead banks for the new bond issue were HSBC and TD.

"This is an important event as Swedish companies plan to stay in China," Miriam Bratt, Svensk executive director, funding, said in the release.

Svensk also noted that it matches its lending and borrowing. When exporters obtain financing from Svensk, the bank has already secured the necessary funding with the same maturity, the release said.

Based in Stockholm, Svensk is the lender to Sweden's export industry.
