New Issue: Goldman prices $9.72 million add-on to 0% notes linked to basket, Consumer Staples index for Svensk

New York, Aug. 29 - Goldman, Sachs & Co. priced a $9.72 million add-on to the issue of 0% outperformance notes due Sept. 30, 2008 linked to the S&P Consumer Staples Select Sector index and a basket of stocks for issuer AB Svensk Exportkredit, according to an FWP filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.
The total issue amount is now $23.58 million, which includes the $13.87 million of notes priced on Aug. 17.
The stock basket will include 57 common stocks selected from the S&P Consumer Discretionary Select Sector index. The basket will not include stocks from the automotive, housing and media industries or stocks that are the subject of announced mergers.
The payout at maturity will be par plus the amount, if any, by which the index return is greater than the stock basket return. Investors will lose 1% for each 1% that the stock basket return exceeds the index return.
