Prospect News reports four new defaults for March 16-March 22

Olympia, Wash., March 24 – Prospect News reported four new defaults for March 16 through March 22.

Specifically, Prospect News reported Chapter 11 filings made by SVB Financial Group, Amsterdam House Continuing Care Retirement Community, Inc. (doing business as the Harborside) and Mountain Express Oil Co., and an involuntary Chapter 11 filing made by bondholders of TV Azteca, SAB de CV.

So far in 2023, Prospect News has reported 60 defaults, including 39 Chapter 11 filings, eight missed principal and interest payments, six missed interest payments, two CCAA filings, and one each of judicial reorganizations, notices of intention under the Bankruptcy and Insolvency Act (Canada), Chapter 15 filings, Chapter 7 filings, and missed interest payments paid within a grace period.

The companies that made voluntary Chapter 11 filings during the week together reported at least $1.2 billion in assets and at least $1.2 billion in liabilities.
