Susquehanna Bancshares files automatic shelf registration

Knoxville, Tenn., Jan. 12 - Susquehanna Bancshares Inc. filed an automatic shelf registration in an S-3-ASR filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

The registration covers common stock, preferred stock, warrants, debt securities, depositary shares, stock purchase contracts and stock purchase units.

The securities may be structured as convertibles.

Proceeds will be used for general corporate purposes.

The financial holding company is based in Lititz, Pa.
