New Issue: Suriname prices $125 million 9 7/8% notes due 2023 at 95.000422

New York, Jan. 7 – The Republic of Suriname has priced $125 million three-year notes at 95.000422, according to a filing from the sovereign.

Oppenheimer & Co. is the bookrunner and lead manager for the Rule 144A and Regulation S deal.

The proceeds will be used to fund the transfer of the Afobaka hydropower plant to a state-owned entity. The notes are mandatorily redeemable if the ownership transfer does not occur.
