Microchip Technology sells shares, reduces stake in Supertex to 4.3%

Charlotte, N.C., Sept. 16 - Microchip Technology Inc. sold 135,399 shares of Supertex, Inc. common stock between Sept. 11 and Sept. 15 priced from $25.64 to $27.08 each, according to a schedule 13D filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission on Wednesday.

Between July 22 and Aug. 21, Microchip sold 233,951 shares priced from $24.51 to $26.16 each, a prior SEC filing said.

The investor beneficially owns 554,100 shares, or 4.3%, of the Sunnyvale, Calif., mixed signal semiconductor manufacturer.

Microchip is a Chandler, Ariz.-based semiconductor producer.
