Semiconductor Technologies investor Kopp buys 3.02 million shares

Charlotte, N.C., June 25 - A group of Superconductor Technologies Inc. investors led by Kopp Investment Advisors, LLC increased its ownership stake to 24.8% with the purchase of 3,020,400 additional shares.

The shares were acquired between June 8 and June 23 at prices from $3.00 to $5.09 each, according to a schedule 13D/A filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission on Thursday.

Between May 18 and June 5, Kopp bought 266,000 shares, a prior SEC filing said.

Kopp owns a total of 5,587,900 common shares of Superconductor.

Based in Santa Barbara, Calif., Superconductor is a provider of wireless, adaptive-filtering and cryogenics technologies.
