Kopp buys 375,500 additional shares of Superconductor Technologies

Charlotte, N.C., May 18 - A group of Superconductor Technologies Inc. investors led by Kopp Investment Advisors, LLC increased their ownership stake to 10.66% with the purchase of 375,500 shares between May 4 and May 8 at prices from $2.91 to $3.40 per share, according to a schedule 13D/A filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission on Monday.

Between March 10 and April 22, Kopp bought 114,000 shares for a 6.8% ownership interest.

The investors now own a total of 1,993,600 common shares of Superconductor.

Based in Santa Barbara, Calif., Superconductor is a provider of wireless, adaptive-filtering and cryogenics technologies.
