Suntech Power Holdings files automatic shelf covering stock and debt

Knoxville, Tenn., May 21 - Suntech Power Holdings Co. Ltd. filed an automatic shelf registration in an F-3 ASR filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

The registration covers ordinary shares, preferred shares, debt securities and warrants.

The securities may be structured as convertibles.

The company will describe in a prospectus supplement how it intends to use the proceeds.

Suntech is a Wuxi, China-based maker of solar cells.
