S&P upgrades Sun Microsystems

Standard & Poor's said it raised its corporate credit rating to A from BB+ on Sun Microsystems Inc.

The ratings were removed from CreditWatch, where they were placed in April 2009, S&P said.

The upgrade reflects the equalization of Sun's ratings with those of Oracle Corp. following the completion of Sun's acquisition by Oracle, the agency said.
