SunEdison marks $8.39 million September operating loss; net sales fall

Pittsburgh, Nov. 1 – SunEdison, Inc. showed an operating loss of $8.39 million for September on $664,451 in net sales, according to its monthly operating report filed Wednesday with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of New York.

In comparison, SunEdison posted an operating loss of $17.97 million for August on $6.33 million in net sales.

The net loss for September was $20.75 million, narrowing from a $52.45 million August net loss.

Cash and cash equivalents were $37.89 million as of Sept. 30, up from $34.96 million as of Aug. 31.

Based in Maryland Heights, Mo., SunEdison operates renewable power plants. It filed for bankruptcy on April 21, 2016 under Chapter 11 case number 16-10992.
