SunEdison marks $17.97 million August operating loss; net sales fall

Pittsburgh, Oct. 6 – SunEdison, Inc. showed an operating loss of $17.97 million for August on $6.33 million in net sales, according to its monthly operating report filed Oct. 5 with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of New York.
In comparison, SunEdison posted an $18.43 million operating loss for July on $12.59 million in net sales.
The net loss for August was $52.45 million, widening from a $30.72 million July net loss.
Cash and cash equivalents were $34.96 million as of Aug. 31, up from $25.33 million at the end of July.
Based in Maryland Heights, Mo., SunEdison operates renewable power plants. It filed for bankruptcy on April 21, 2016 under Chapter 11 case number 16-10992.
